There are currently two options for completing basic certification online:
PADI eLearning is user friendly online multi-media resource designed for use with windows based computers. It enables student divers to cover the theory sections of various PADI courses in their own time, wherever they are, as long as they have good internet access. It uses video, images, animation, narrative and immediate feedback on quizzes to guide you through theory content in an interactive and rewarding manner.
Touch is an extremely modern and up to date way of tackling the theory element of a number of PADI courses. It is very accessible and interactive and has been specifically designed for tablet and smartphone (iOS and Android). It exists for ReActivate, the Open Water Course, the Rescue Diver Course and the Equipment Specialty. Interactive, rich in video, a very modern and fun learning experience.
How to register
Regardless of which eLearning course you wish to take, registration follows these steps.
- Access the PADI eLearning website by clicking this link.
- Verify that Dive Academy/24870 appears at the bottom left of your screen. If you do not see Dive Academy/24870 type the following URL into your browser: https://apps.padi.com/scuba-diving/elearning/?irra=24870
- Select Purchase an Online Course – eLearning.
- Select the eLearning class you wish to take from the dropdown menu.
- Click BUY NOW.

What all PADI eLearning students should know
The amount paid for e-learnig will be deducted from the total Course cost when you come into the Dive Academy.
Pool training and/or open water training required for the desired certification level must still be completed in addition to the eLearning material. PADI eLearning is only a substitute for a portion of the required classroom training.

A. The new minimum age for student divers enrolled in PADI eLearning courses is 10 years old (when PADI course prerequisites permit.)
Q. How does it work?
A. After enrolling, PADI’s eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress.
Q.What else is required to complete the course?
A. Five confined water dives and four open water training dives with your Dive Academy PADI Instructor.
Q.What is the minimum amount of time it will take to complete this eLearning program?
A. The PADI Open Water Diver Course online will take approximately 12-15 hours to complete.
