Wildlife Snorkelling


  • How deep will be in the water?

    You not gonna scuba dive, just float on the surface. The depth in snorkelling area will be around 1-5m. 

  • Can we see the seals?

    This is possible...The grey seals are very curious and might come to say hello if they want.

  • How long is to get there?

    It takes around 5 to a max 10min on a power boat (RIB).

  • Can we take non-snorkeler just ride on the boat?

    Yes, but this depends on a few things. Decision can be made just before departure.

  • Is the water cold?

    Yes, but thanks to our super wetsuits, boots and even gloves are easily manageable.

  • How long will I stay in the water?

    45 minutes in the water.

Discover Scuba


  • Should I know how to swim?

    No, If you can't swim there is no problem however, to fully enjoy the Discover Scuba program you have to feel comfortable enough in the water in general.

  • How deep will I go diving?

    We always start from very shallow water-1m. The maximum you can dive down is 12m.

  • How big is the group?

    Every group is a max 2 divers. In another word, every guide can take no more than two divers. 

  • Can we take photos?

    Yes, we can take surface (not underwater) photos and send you a link to download them at your leisure (extra charge).

  • Can qualified diver join Discover Scuba?

    Yes, if a diver is happy to have a very easy dive, why not.

Dive Trip


  • Can non-diver join this trip?

    No, dive trip is for qualified divers only.

  • Are these trips guided?

    Yes, always.

  • Can I rent a dive gear?

    Yes, you can. Full Dive Gear includes: Wet suit (7mm), Boots (5mm), Gloves (3mm), Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Regulators Set and BCD. Cost is €35/day

  • What is the water temperature?

    Min. 10°C / 50°F  max 18°C / 65°F (depends on the time of the year).

  • What can I see underwater?

    The list is long... most popular are grey seals, lobsters, crayfish, many types of wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, dogfish/cat sharks. Also, if you lucky enough, you can meet basking sharks, blue sharks even sun fish...

  • I'm a beginner diver can I join this trip?

    Yes, your guide will tailor a guided dive plan for you to go scuba diving.

  • How is the water visibility?

    From 5m / 17ft UP. Never less than 5m/17ft

  • What type of air tanks you provide?

    For scuba, we use 12L steel air tanks with single-valve DIN or Yoke

  • Can I use Nitrox?

    No, we don't have it.

Learn to dive


  • What should I bring?

    Swimsuit, towel, warm clothes

  • How deep we're going to dive?

    The first day depth will be no more than 5m / 17ft. Days 2 and 3 are no deeper than 18m / 59ft.

  • Should I be a good swimmer?

    No, however, you have to know how to swim and feel comfortable enough in the water.

  • How big is a group during the course?

    Max 4 students per one Instructor.

  • Should I have own dive gear?

    No, however, if you have some sort of dive gear bring it if you want.

  • Is the water cold?

    Yes, but thanks to our super wetsuits, boots and even gloves cold can be easily manageable.

  • How can I continue scuba education?

    After completing this course you can sign up for Advanced Open Water Diver.

Divemaster Internship


  • What should I bring with me?

    Warm clothes, swimwear, dive gear if you have one and a bike.

  • How can I rent accommodation?

    You can rent accommodation on your own. Also, we can help you to find something as well.

  • Should I be a good swimmer?

    Yes, good enough to swim 400 m... Don't worry, easy stuff.

  • How big is the group during internship?

    Each time the group is 2 candidates.

  • Is there any hidden cost?

    Yes, you have to cover your own cost of living like food and drink, and a bike if you decide to live far from Dive Academy. 

  • Should I have own dive gear?

    No, you can rent from us. Price is from €5 to €35/day but only if you gonna use it.

  • Is the water cold?

    Yes, but thanks to our super wetsuits, boots and even gloves cold can be easily manageable.

  • What can I do out of course hours?

Kayaking


  • How many people can seat in a kayak?

    Our kayaks are double kayaks, however, thanks to unique middle seat can be used as a single as well.

  • Can two teens be in one kayak?

    No, on the same kayak has to be at least one adult.

  • What should I have on a kayak?

    Water friendly clothing including footwear, hat, jacket; Fully charged mobile phone; Drinking water; Sunscreen.

  • Can I rent a kayak for one person?

    Yes

  • Can I have a guide with me?

    Yes, you can book a guide (extra charge).

  • Should I know how to swim to rent a kayak?

    No, however, you should feel comfortable enough in the water.

Work Experience


  • Will I stay overnight in Inishmore?

    Yes, every student has to be comfortable and mature enough to stay away from home for a couple of days.

  • What should I bring with me?

    Warm clothes incl. hat; Water-friendly clothing including footwear, jacket; Swimming suit and towel; Wetsuit if have one; a Bicycle (also can be rented on the island).

  • How can I get accommodation?

    You can rent accommodation on your own. Also, we can help you to find something good as well.

  • Should I be a good swimmer?

    No, If you can't swim there is no problem however, to fully enjoy this program you have to feel comfortable enough in the water in general.

  • How big is the group during this programme?

    Max 4 participants.

    Yes, you have to cover your own cost of living like food and drink, and a rental bike, if you decide to live far from Dive Academy.
